Job Summary

The General Helper will be responsible for preparing, presenting and serving meals, ensuring the quality of the food and overall presentation.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and have a keen eye for detail. As a General Helper, you will be working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing and serving meals to a diverse group of customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present meals to a high standard, ensuring quality and presentation are consistently met.
  • Ensure all food is handled, stored and served in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Assist with food preparation, including cooking, plating and garnishing.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer queries and resolving any issues promptly.

Requirements:

  • Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to manage workload effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good command of English language, both verbal and written.
  • Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant or fast food is considered an asset.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, including minor heavy lifting (up to 40 lb).
