About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Wellspring Health and Wellness clinic. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the assessment and treatment of patients with various injuries or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment
    • Administer evaluative tests and procedures to assess patients' physical abilities and develop treatment plans under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists.
    • Carry out treatment programs to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Support Services
    • Assist physicians in the assessment of patients and provide support during treatment sessions.
    • Develop information materials for patients to educate them on their treatment plans and progress.
    • Examine patients and follow through on treatment programs with patients.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products.
    • Maintain prescription records and process files and paperwork.
    • Perform general clerical duties, including reception, telephone, and booking appointments.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive tasks.
    • Work under pressure to meet deadlines and provide excellent patient care.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
    • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent patient care.
