Senior Fisheries Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fisheries Engineer to lead our fish passage projects and manage a team of engineers and scientists. The successful candidate will have a strong background in fisheries engineering and project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead fish passage projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage a team of engineers and scientists, providing guidance and support to ensure that projects are delivered to the required standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring that their needs are met and that projects are delivered in accordance with their requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities, identifying and pursuing new markets and clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in fisheries engineering and project management, applying this knowledge to improve our services and deliver high-quality projects.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as fisheries engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in fisheries engineering and project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of fisheries engineering principles, including fish passage design, fish behavior, and water quality management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
