Job Description

Accounting Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Rona Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying and validating invoices, analyzing expense approvals, and providing support to various internal departments in the expense management process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and validate invoices received via an artificial imaging system
  • Analyze expense approvals in compliance with expense authority levels
  • Support and guide various internal departments in the expense management process
  • Reconcile purchase orders with invoices and request corrections where necessary
  • Analyze statements
  • Support and guide suppliers regarding invoicing and related payments
  • Receive and process requests from our expense suppliers
  • Follow up on urgent files and provide accurate reports to various stakeholders

Requirements:

  • D.E.C. or D.E.P. in accounting
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel intermediate, Outlook, Word)
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud an asset
  • 2 years' experience in the accounts payable sector
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good judgment and initiative
  • Team player
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced and changing work environment
