About the Opportunity

Zurich Canada is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our corporate development activities, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and strategy execution.

As a Strategic Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the development of business strategy for designated business units, as well as executing various strategic initiatives across Zurich Canada. You will also represent Zurich Canada on select strategy and strategic execution topics with the Region and/or Global Zurich Strategy teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive and support select strategy development and strategy execution activities of Zurich Canada.
  • Support Zurich Canada's corporate development activities, including target company profiling, due diligence, business case development, and document preparation.
  • Evaluate the business operating environment, identify possible opportunities/issues, and assist in developing solutions to support the achievement of strategic and operational business objectives.
  • Engage in defining the value proposition of designated area/business unit in alignment with local and Group strategy.
  • Support in designing and developing executive presentation materials and assist in the communication of strategy for key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a current analysis of the business' position relative to its goals and objectives.
  • Provide robust proprietary research and analytical solutions along key strategic areas.
  • Co-lead or manage relevant workstreams or projects to ensure completion of key deliverables.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop other members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience in Strategic Management.
  • Insurance industry experience required, preferably Property & Casualty (P&C) experience.
  • Travel 5%-10%.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Insurance industry experience.
