About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Employment Consultant to join our team at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. as a key member of our employment services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing employment assistance to clients, helping them to achieve their career goals and overcome barriers to employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Intake and Assessment
    • Conduct thorough interviews with clients to gather information about their employment history, educational background, and career goals.
    • Identify potential barriers to employment and develop strategies to overcome them.
  • Employment Planning and Support
    • Work with clients to create personalized employment plans, including job search strategies and resume development.
    • Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients as they navigate the job market.
  • Labour Market Information and Research
    • Collect and analyze labour market information to help clients make informed decisions about their career paths.
    • Provide clients with information about job openings, entry requirements, and other occupational information.
  • Computer and Technology Skills
    • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Excellent client focus and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a team environment.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Screening Questions
    • Ensure that clients are legally able to work in Canada.

    • Provide information about dental, health care, and vision care benefits.
    • Explain group insurance benefits and other financial incentives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience.
