Lead Software Engineer Pega

At Sun Life Financial, we're looking for a skilled Lead Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Pega development team, you'll be responsible for designing, delivering, and maintaining high-quality Pega solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with process architects to identify reuse opportunities and participate in scope definition workshops.
  2. Provide technical guidance and advice to developer resources, reviewing their work and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  3. Contribute to project planning, estimating work effort, and defining timelines.
  4. Work with product owners to create Definition of Done (DOD) for user stories.
  5. Collaborate with architects, designers, developers, and testing specialists to deliver high-quality solutions.
  6. Produce high-level and detailed-level designs, implementing Pega solutions based on business requirements and defined architectures.
  7. Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams to ensure coding, testing, debugging, and implementation activities are completed as required.

Requirements:

  1. 4 years' experience designing and delivering complex Pega case management projects, with experience in solution design for Pega-based solutions.
  2. Advanced knowledge of BPM concepts, techniques, tools, and delivery approaches.
  3. Minimum 7 years of progressive IT experience with full application development life cycle and systems integration experience.
  4. Knowledge of PRPC Architecture and PRPC design & implementation features.
  5. Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments.
  6. Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) or Certified Lead System Architect (CLSA) is an asset.

Special Notes:

  1. This role may require a Canadian enhanced reliability security clearance.
  2. Occasional weekend / after-hours work may be required to support project implementations and system upgrades.
  3. IT supports internal business clients in Waterloo, Toronto, and Montreal. Occasional travel between these locations may be required.

Salary Range: 82,000 - 135,000
