About the Role

As an iOS Developer at Intact Financial Corporation, you will play a critical role in conceiving and evolving our Design System. You will be enabling work to other iOS developers in the product teams. Reporting to the Design System Manager, your main responsibilities are:

  • Analyse, develop, maintain and evolve Intact's design system to facilitate mobile (iOS) development
  • Integrate and ensure that Intact's design system is in line with iOS design patterns
  • Design, build, and maintain highly reusable code
  • Understand the limitations of our tech stack and business model and provide technical advice and recommendations wherever necessary
  • Collaborate with partner developers to future-proof our solutions
  • Being a good point of contact for the design system team to product and design squads in terms of iOS development
  • Support design product streams with platform related questions and issues

What You Bring to the Table

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD, in software engineering, computer science or a related field
  • Available to work with us full-time, 35 hours per week, for the Winter Term
  • Must be returning to school in Summer or Fall following your internship
  • Experience in software development and building native iOS applications
  • Experience with Swift and SwiftUI
  • Experience with UIKit and familiarity with Human Interface guidelines for iOS
  • Examples that demonstrate frameworks creation
  • Examples that demonstrate both iOS development proficiency and understanding of iOS design patterns
  • Experience with Git and Atlassian tools
  • Understanding of design tools (Figma)
  • You love working in a collaborative environment that has a strong focus on teamwork, innovation, open minds and having fun
  • Bilingualism is ESSENTIAL (French and English)
