Job Title: Architectural Technologist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technologist to join our team at Brookfield Properties. As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in the design, drafting, and production of our residential new home construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and draft building plans, elevations, and sections
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Process improvement and document management
  • Create and maintain tender, shop, and master drawings
  • Develop and maintain CAD/REVIT standards and plan consistency
  • Liaise with sales, estimating, construction, trade partners, and consultants
  • Review and discuss onsite construction issues
  • Create and maintain documentation as required
  • Liaise with municipalities regarding code, bylaw, or application questions
  • Maintain positive relationships with industry officials, trade partners, and suppliers

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma in Architectural Technologies or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in residential new home construction
  • Understanding of Alberta building codes and regulations
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and REVIT
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple competing priorities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
