- Education Required: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a relevant field
The successful candidate will work primarily in a hospital setting, contributing to a team dedicated to pediatric health. Relocation costs will be covered by the employer.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat a variety of cardiovascular diseases and disorders in children.
- Conduct medical research aimed at improving treatment methods and understanding of pediatric cardiovascular conditions.
- Prescribe appropriate medications and treatment plans.
- Refer patients for surgical interventions when necessary.
- Prepare and present research findings for publication.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies.
As part of your role, you will oversee working groups focused on pediatric cardiology.
Qualifications- Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
- Specialization in Cardiology and related fields.
- Successful completion of a criminal record check.
- Child Abuse Registry check.
- Driving record check (abstract).
- Medical examination and immunization records.
