Job Summary:

The Supply Instructor - International Languages is a part-time position that works under the direction of the Principal, Continuing and Community Education, to deliver the Board's International Languages program. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching languages such as Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Tagalog, Spanish, Mandarin, and Ukrainian to students in Barrie.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver language instruction to students in a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Communicate with parents and guardians as needed
  • Work collaboratively with other instructors and staff to achieve program goals

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or equivalency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated experience working with children in a learning environment
  • Proven ability to work in a co-operative and independent environment
  • Demonstrated time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in Continuing Education is an asset
  • First Aid Certification is an asset
