Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Pain Management Specialist to enhance our multidisciplinary team focused on providing comprehensive care for children and adolescents experiencing chronic or complex pain.
This role is integral to our Pain360 program, which is committed to delivering patient and family-centered care aimed at improving functionality and reducing symptoms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for pediatric patients with complex pain conditions.
- Collaborate with families, community providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to pain management.
- Engage in multidisciplinary evaluations and management strategies that address a wide spectrum of pain-related issues.
- Participate in educational initiatives for residents and fellows, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a fellowship in Pediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, or equivalent qualifications from another recognized institution. Eligibility for a specialist's license to practice in British Columbia is essential.
Experience in social pediatrics and adolescent medicine is highly valued, as is a commitment to collaborative care that enhances the well-being of children and their families.
