Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Welder to join our team at TRACER TRUCK AND TRAILER REPAIRS LTD. This is a permanent position requiring a commitment to quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in welding
Core Duties
  • Operate various welding equipment, including manual and automated systems.
  • Inspect welds to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize flame-cutting and oxygen arc cutting equipment effectively.
  • Assess the weldability of different materials.
  • Handle hoisting and lifting equipment safely.
  • Perform fabrication and repair of metal components using welding machines.
  • Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on welding equipment.
Certifications Required
  • Pressure Welding Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate
Materials and Techniques
  • Experience with materials such as aluminum alloys, stainless steel, and heavy metals.
  • Proficient in gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and fusion welding techniques.
