Job Title: Grounds Maintenance Contractor

We are seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Contractor to join our team at Contour Landscaping Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for directing planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, organizing planting operations, and planning and directing grounds maintenance activities. They will also maintain work records and logs, repair and maintain equipment, and resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Planting Operations: Direct planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to company standards.
  • Organize Planting Operations: Organize planting operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Plan and direct grounds maintenance activities, including mowing, pruning, and fertilizing.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including hours worked, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Repair and maintain equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Resolve Work Problems: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in grounds maintenance or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in equipment maintenance and repair.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, with frequent exposure to changing weather conditions. They will be required to lift heavy loads, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
