Emissions Reduction and Compliance
Pinchin Ltd. is looking for a skilled Project Technologist to enhance our Emissions Reduction and Compliance group's Water and Wastewater Services Team.
As a vital member of our team, you will report to the Operations Manager and the Practice Specialist, executing projects related to wastewater, stormwater, and drinking water sampling. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, collaborating on treatment system design and permitting, coordinating sample collection, and preparing comprehensive reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Water and Wastewater Services Team with various water-related initiatives, including managing sample bottle inventory, coordinating sampling events, and developing sampling plans.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of improvements for drinking water and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time and exceed client expectations.
- Perform detailed on-site inspections to evaluate site conditions, system performance, and compliance with regulations, while formulating effective solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in infrastructure design.
- Prepare proposal documents and support project budget management and invoicing under the guidance of the Project Manager.
- Exemplify professional conduct and adhere to quality control and health and safety protocols in all work environments.
- A college diploma or Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, environmental, natural, or chemical sciences is required.
- 1 – 2 years of relevant experience in an industrial or consulting environment is preferred.
- Eligibility for future licensure with a professional organization such as PEO (P.Eng.), OACETT (C.Tech or C.E.T), or ECO Canada (EP) is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Ability to wear PPE when necessary and lift up to 20kg.
- A valid driver's license with adequate insurance and access to a vehicle is required.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Capable of reading, comprehending, and proofreading all written reports and correspondence.
