Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Respite Support Worker to join our team. As a Respite Support Worker, you will provide temporary relief to families, enabling them to take a break from the demands of daily care. You will work with children with special needs, providing support and engaging in activities that promote their development and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one support to children with autism and/or other developmental delays in their homes, community, or at our agency
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Engage children in activities that promote their physical, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure seamless support
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience working with children, preferably in a caregiving or educational setting
  • Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
  • First Aid with CPR Level C certification
  • Clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector, and Child Intervention Check
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
