Snowboarding Instructor Role at Big White Ski Resort Ltd
  • Qualifications: Certificate or diploma in related trades
  • Experience Required: 2 to 3 years in a similar role
  • Work Environment: Outdoor settings

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Instruct and demonstrate various snowboarding techniques and athletic activities
    • Provide training for new staff members
    • Coordinate and assist in recreational and sporting events
    • Lead both groups and individuals in leisure programs
    • Design and implement snowboarding and fitness activities
    • Compile and prepare reports
    • Supervise group instruction
    • Facilitate individual coaching sessions
  • Supervision: Oversee a team of 16-20 individuals
  • Certifications Required: Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) Certification
  • Safety Requirements: Criminal record check mandatory
  • Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills, Excellent verbal communication, Initiative, Good judgement, Highly organized
