About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect, Business Intelligence to join our team at Pet Valu. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that empower our business with timely, actionable information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement data and analytics platforms to enable self-service business intelligence capabilities across different business units.
  • Collaborate with IT departments and business partners on BI/reporting initiatives and requests.
  • Research and review new BI technologies and solutions to propose innovative solutions that meet business needs.
  • Provide business intelligence solutions, including analytics, dashboards, and reports, to support informed decision-making.
  • Apply software engineering concepts and best practices to design solutions that meet operational requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
  • 5 years of BI architect experience.
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's in computer science or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience proposing BI strategy, defining short-term and long-term BI roadmaps.
  • Experience with large-scale systems involving reporting, transactional systems, and integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Experience with modern BI data and visualization cloud-based platforms, such as Snowflake, Tableau, and Power BI.
  • Deep understanding of modern data architecture, including data mesh, data fabric, and data lake.
  • Experience with ELT/ETL development and data integration.
  • Proficiency in system analysis and design.
