We are currently seeking dedicated and dependable packaging professionals to contribute to our goal of Bringing Chocolate to Life.
Job Summary: The primary responsibility involves packaging solid products, including molded drops, chunks, discs, and bars, ensuring accurate counts or weights for distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain tools and equipment in optimal condition, promptly reporting any defective materials or damaged tools to the Supervisor.
- Uphold product quality by monitoring all items produced on the line.
- Complete necessary documentation accurately.
- Prepare packaging materials for the production line.
- Load finished molded products into boxes or super sacks.
- Weigh boxes and organize them onto pallets.
- Identify and sort products that do not meet quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
- Forklift or truck operation experience is beneficial.
Work Environment:
- Ability to stand for extended periods; climb stairs and ladders.
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, and reach to clean various areas.
- Daily exposure to noise, dust, and fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold).
- The company provides uniforms, as well as hearing, eye, and hair protection. Reimbursement for safety footwear and prescription safety glasses is also offered.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Operates as a 24/7 manufacturing facility with rotating 12-hour shifts, averaging approximately 14 shifts per month.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting wages range from $ to $ per hour.
- Additional $ per hour shift premium for night shifts.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with life insurance, becomes available after a 3-month probationary period.
- Company-funded pension plan (5% contributions at no cost to the employee) after one year of service.
- Paid personal time and annual vacation.
