We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our Financial Services Division in the Corporate Services Department as a Financial Analyst for an 18-month term. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services, the Financial Analyst will prepare month-end and year-end working papers to support financial report preparation and financial statement preparation. The incumbent will assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial report preparation and forecast development. They will ensure accounting procedures are followed, transactions are recorded properly, and accounting records are examined and adjusted accordingly. This role acts as a liaison between the Financial Services Division and other departments, assisting with reconciling subsystems to financial software.
An undergraduate university degree in accounting or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in an accounting setting or a related field. The incumbent must be enrolled as a Candidate in the CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) program. Experience in a government setting is preferred.
