About the Role

We're seeking a talented Senior Backend Developer to join our team at Okta. As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the future of personal identity on the internet.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems using Django and Python.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and design.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and emerging standards, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of software development experience, with a strong focus on backend development.
  • Proven expertise in Django and Python, with experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with unit, integration, end-to-end, and performance testing.
What We Offer

Okta offers a competitive salary range of $114,000 to $172,000 CAD, depending on location and experience. We also provide equity, bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave.
