CB Canada is seeking a Commissioning Supervisor specializing in the Oil and Gas sector. This role is pivotal in overseeing the commissioning and start-up processes for various renewable energy projects, including wind, solar, hydro, and geothermal initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Commissioning Manager in the execution of commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to established schedules, safety protocols, and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with the Commissioning Manager to develop comprehensive assembly and commissioning plans aligned with project objectives.
  • Prepare and document detailed commissioning and energization procedures, including necessary permits and isolation certificates.
  • Facilitate technical coordination among team members, including both client and contractor personnel.
  • Conduct visual inspections and functional tests on equipment and systems prior to commissioning, ensuring reliability and compliance with grid standards.
  • Manage documentation related to commissioning processes, ensuring accurate handover to Operations and Maintenance Units.
  • Supervise testing of High, Medium, and Low voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Generate and submit commissioning activity reports regularly, in accordance with established standards.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred, with relevant experience in the power generation sector.
  • Familiarity with testing instruments and methodologies.
  • Understanding of machinery and equipment utilized in the commissioning field.
  • Knowledge of grid requirements for energization and operation of renewable energy facilities.
  • Proficiency in SCADA systems and communication protocols.
  • Awareness of electrical safety standards and environmental management practices.
  • Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
