Verafin, a leading cloud-based product, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Analyst Student to join our team. As a Security Analyst Student, you will play a critical role in helping us fight crime by stopping fraud and money laundering.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze security vulnerabilities identified within our cloud infrastructure to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.
- Query and correlate security scan data with technical inventory to identify potential security risks.
- Coordinate vulnerability remediation with code and infrastructure owners to ensure timely resolution of security issues.
- Ensure scanning coverage and assist in remediation of gaps to maintain a robust security posture.
- Assess and improve security processes and tool usage to stay ahead of emerging threats.
- Work with security and operational teams to ensure security standards are met and maintained.
- Currently enrolled in a diploma or degree program focused in Security Management, Programming, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanners, container security tools, logging and monitoring tooling from a security perspective.
- Security certifications would be an asset (CISSP, OSCP, CEH, GSEC, Security+ etc.).
- Strong technical analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively with other teams.
- Committed to continuous learning, understanding new technologies, and developing best practices.
- Contribute to the success of Verafin's security program and review and improve our security posture using new tools and processes.
- Be an effective team player, communicator, and have an eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
