IT Auditor

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Auditor to join our team at First West Credit Union. As an IT Auditor, you will play a critical role in evaluating and improving the effectiveness of our IT and cyber risk management, control, and governance processes.

• Execute IT and cyber security assurance and consulting engagements, contributing to the design and delivery of risk-based audit programs and procedures.
• Investigate audit observations to identify root causes of control deficiencies and write concise, risk-focused reports with practical recommendations.
• Communicate with stakeholders in a diplomatic and tactful manner, discussing audit observations, risks, and recommendations.
• Contribute to and assist management and senior members of the Internal Audit department in executing the audit plan and other department priorities and initiatives.
• Maintain an understanding of departmental audit quality standards, policies, and procedures, and impart that understanding to staff.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• 2 years of overall experience in audit, assurance, risk, or other relevant areas.
• Prior experience in data analytics or other CAATs is preferred.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to process information, reach conclusions, and develop practical recommendations.
• Applied knowledge of IT and cyber security risks and controls, risk management, and risk-based auditing concepts.
