Job Summary

The Host/Hostess is a key member of our Canucks Bar and Grill team, responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, greeting them with a warm smile and welcoming them to our establishment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized entrance, ensuring a positive first impression for our guests
  • Greet and seat guests in a timely and efficient manner, providing them with menus and beverage options
  • Manage reservations and seating charts, ensuring that all guests are seated in a timely manner
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and well-stocked dining area, including refilling water and coffee
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and server teams to ensure that all guests receive their orders in a timely manner
  • Perform cash handling duties, including processing payments and handling cash and credit transactions
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about our menu and beverage options, making recommendations to guests as needed

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and move quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
