Position Summary:

The Advanced Chemical Technician will engage in a variety of production activities aimed at enhancing materials purification and processing. This role will also encompass involvement in initiatives focused on process enhancement and operational expansions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established procedures to ensure timely production outputs
  • Execute reaction preparations and product extractions
  • Uphold ISO-9001 compliance standards
  • Document production activities and assist in performance trend evaluations
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement projects
  • Conduct sample preparations and quality control assessments
  • Provide suggestions for updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety regulations within the laboratory
  • Identify and resolve process discrepancies
  • Investigate product deviations and quality concerns
  • Analyze data and review quality control findings
  • Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments
  • Complete assignments within designated timelines

Qualifications:

  • Technical degree in Chemistry or a related discipline is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a chemistry-related role
  • Proficient laboratory skills and effective communication abilities
  • Familiarity with chemical methodologies and processes
  • Comfortable handling hazardous substances and utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Capable of lifting heavy materials with mechanical support
  • Fluency in both French and English is required
