We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Device Reprocessing Specialist to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient reprocessing of medical devices and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform detailed technical duties related to decontamination, sterilization, reassembly, and function testing of medical and surgical supplies and instruments.
- Operate and maintain related equipment, including sterilizers, washers, and dryers.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory management and equipment maintenance.
- Grade 12 and successful completion of a recognized Sterile Supply Processing course.
- One year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of surgical and medical terminology.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Ability to communicate and deal effectively with others.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
