Construction Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Construction Supervisor to join our team at P GILL CONSTRUCTION LTD.
Job Summary:The General Construction Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimate costs and materials for construction projects
- Oversee apprenticeship training and ensure that workers are properly trained and equipped
- Prepare bids and proposals for construction projects
- Prepare production and other reports to track project progress
- Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
- Co-ordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth project execution
- Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintain a safe working environment
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines
- Read blueprints and drawings to understand project requirements
- Recommend personnel actions and make decisions on staffing and resource allocation
- Requisition materials and supplies as needed
- Supervise workers and projects to ensure quality and productivity
- 1 to 2 years of experience in construction supervision or a related field
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Basic security clearance
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings
- Ability to make decisions and take initiative
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dusty and noisy work environment
- Outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Relocation costs not covered by employer
