Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Automotive Sales Consultant to join our team at Performance Auto Group. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, building strong relationships with customers, and meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our products and services, including manufacturer-specific vehicles and rebate, finance, and incentive programs.
  • Project a positive attitude and image, both in person and over the phone, to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure all work is thorough, accurate, and completed in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Work effectively without supervision, using initiative and judgment to make decisions and take action.
  • Attend factory-sponsored and dealer-specified training classes to stay up-to-date on new products and services.
  • Answer customer service phone calls and respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure customer car quotes are competitive and reasonable, and keep customers updated on the progress of their vehicle's delivery.
  • Inform customers when vehicles are ready to be picked up and ensure all necessary documents are in order.
  • Stay up-to-date on new equipment, features, and tools available and recommend purchases to customers.
  • Account for all documents and ensure none are missing, and follow up with the factory and distributors regarding late vehicle deliveries.
  • Comply with strict regulations and requirements of the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC) and company safety standards.
  • Comply with all company policies, standards, and procedures, and perform other duties as required by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Automotive sales experience is an asset.
  • OMVIC certification is required.
  • Dealer CRM system experience is an asset.
  • Must have a valid Ontario driver's license and good driving record.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible under changing conditions and adapt to new situations.
  • Ability to be creative and persuasive in negotiating and building strong relationships with customers.
  • Ability to exhibit professionalism with a positive attitude under pressure and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Well-spoken, friendly, and articulate, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Must be willing to be flexible with work schedules and may be required to work on Saturdays as per business needs.
