Position Overview

As a dedicated In-Home Childcare Specialist, you will be entrusted with the comprehensive care of children in the absence of their parents. Your role is pivotal in ensuring a nurturing and safe environment for their growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Supervision: Oversee and engage with children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Daily Care: Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children, catering to their individual needs.
  • Discipline: Implement discipline strategies as per parental guidelines to foster positive behavior.
  • Health Monitoring: Maintain accurate records of daily activities and health information regarding the children.
  • Safe Environment: Ensure a clean, safe, and healthy home environment.
  • Activity Planning: Organize and facilitate engaging activities, including games and outings.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of the children.
  • Rest Supervision: Prepare children for rest periods, ensuring they are comfortable and secure.
  • Transportation: Safely transport children to and from school and appointments.
  • Emotional Support: Attend to the emotional well-being of children, providing comfort and guidance.
  • Homework Assistance: Support children with their homework and educational activities.
Weight Handling

Ability to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs).

Personal Attributes
  • Flexibility: Adaptable to changing situations and needs.
  • Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 months experience in childcare is preferred.
