Director and Market Lead Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director and Market Lead to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving the profitable growth of our Dealer and Manufacturer Indirect Retail and Commercial portfolios in Western Canada.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial automotive relationship management, with a proven track record of developing and executing strategic plans to achieve business objectives. You will be responsible for leading a team of specialists in Commercial Dealer Finance, providing guidance and coaching to ensure they meet negotiated goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tactical strategies to support the overall Automotive Finance strategy and business plan.
  • Lead the implementation of tactical strategies and initiatives for the assigned market area.
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of select high-value, complex commercial client relationships at an acceptable level of risk.
  • Maintain the overall quality of the Indirect Retail and Commercial Automotive portfolios.
  • Establish and monitor stretch goals for direct reports.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or marketing management.
  • Thorough knowledge of Canada's financial services marketplace.
  • Strong tactical strategic planning and implementation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for business development/customer relationship building.
  • Commercial Automotive relationship management experience.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with planning and presentation software.
