About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our team at the Catholic Independent Schools of Vancouver Archdiocese. As a Physical Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that promote physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles for students in grades 8-12.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver effective physical education programs that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Develop and implement assessments to measure student progress and understanding
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement extracurricular activities and events
  • Provide guidance and support to students to promote healthy lifestyles and well-being
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide physical education initiatives

Requirements

  • BC Teaching Certificate
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Understanding of and affinity for teaching in a Catholic school environment
  • Dynamic and energetic approach to teaching and learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
