We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Universal Roofs Inc. As a Construction Labourer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the construction site.
  • Erect and Dismantle Concrete Forms, Scaffolding, Ramps, Catwalks, Shoring, and Barricades: Assist in the erection and dismantling of concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as required.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as directed by the construction team.
  • Assist Medical Examiner: Provide assistance to the medical examiner as required.
  • Pave and Rake Asphalt: Pave and rake asphalt as directed by the construction team.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Clean and pile salvaged materials as required.
  • Clean Up Chemical Spills and Other Contaminants: Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants as required.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Remove rubble and other debris from the construction site.
  • Tend or Feed Machines and Equipment: Tend or feed machines and equipment used in construction as required.
  • Direct Traffic: Direct traffic at or near the construction site as required.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience in construction labouring is an asset.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
Work Environment:

The construction labourer will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. The labourer must be physically demanding and able to handle heavy loads.

Equipment and Machinery Experience:
  • Bobcats: Experience with bobcats is an asset.
  • Reciprocating Saws: Experience with reciprocating saws is an asset.
  • Circular Saws: Experience with circular saws is an asset.
  • Concrete Saws: Experience with concrete saws is an asset.
  • Drills: Experience with drills is an asset.
  • Sledgehammer: Experience with a sledgehammer is an asset.
Transportation and Travel:

Public transportation is available.
