Department Focus

The Atmospheric Sciences division is focused on assisting clients in managing air quality, climate change challenges, and noise emissions with professionalism and foresight. Our skilled engineers and scientists deliver specialized services across various sectors, including healthcare, residential, and community services. We provide a comprehensive range of offerings, including design and permitting, monitoring programs, predictive modeling, and greenhouse gas emission quantification and verification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients and drive business development initiatives.
  • Oversee project management and proposal preparation.
  • Draft and review technical reports related to air quality.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources, including fieldwork.
  • Conduct air quality, meteorology, and noise monitoring and reporting.
  • Mentor and support junior staff in your areas of expertise.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Proficient in quantitative analysis and Microsoft Office software.
  • Experience in statistical analysis is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of provincial and federal air quality regulations.
  • Familiarity with ambient air quality and noise monitoring techniques.
  • Experience in greenhouse gas quantification and management planning is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience managing projects in a consulting environment is beneficial.
  • Proven ability to liaise with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Education and Experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental consulting, specifically in air quality, meteorology, noise, and greenhouse gas management.

A Master's or Ph.D. in Engineering, Air Quality Control, or Environmental Sciences is preferred.

Licensure as a Professional Engineer or eligibility to transfer licensure is required.

This role involves a combination of field and office work, with typical office tasks requiring prolonged periods of computer use. Fieldwork may involve travel and exposure to various weather conditions. Physical ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs is necessary.
