Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Support Assistant to join our team at Chinook School Division No. 211. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in enhancing the educational experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, play areas, and during recreational activities.
  • Assist teachers in implementing educational programs and supporting students' learning activities.
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
  • Exercise judgment in modifying student behavior and providing guidance on social skills and emotional regulation.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement Personal Program Plans for students.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children and a strong understanding of child development principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A positive and flexible attitude, with a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
