About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Helper to join our team at 536587 Yukon Inc. as a key member of our construction crew. As a Carpentry Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects by providing support to our carpenters and construction teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist carpenters and construction teams with various tasks, including loading and unloading materials, erecting and dismantling scaffolding, and mixing and pouring concrete.
  • Help with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs, as well as assisting with demolition work.
  • Estimate materials, tools, and equipment required for projects and assist with their procurement.
  • Perform tasks that require lifting and carrying heavy loads, exceeding 45 kg (100 lbs).
Requirements
  • Availability for shift or on-call work.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Previous experience in the field of employment is an asset.
  • Ability to relocate for this position.
  • Residency in proximity to the advertised location.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a variable schedule, requiring 40 to 60 hours of work per week. The primary language of work is English.
