The position of Information Systems Solutions Architect is crucial within the Information Systems division, serving all company regions. This role is essential for crafting comprehensive Information/MES/IIoT solution architectures tailored for our clientele. Successful candidates will engage in every phase of the solutions deployment process, encompassing consultancy, evaluation, requirements gathering, specification, solution design, technical execution, user training, and commissioning.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals possessing strong conceptual abilities alongside excellent interpersonal skills, looking to advance their careers in a dynamic organization. Candidates with a solid academic and professional foundation in System Design, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a business degree complemented by industrial and/or software development experience will be evaluated.
This is a Remote opportunity with some travel required.
Typical Responsibilities Include:
- Engaging in pre-sales support, developing overarching solution architecture, requirements documentation, and system design, along with construction and implementation.
- Conducting gap analysis to identify optimal strategies for addressing deficiencies.
- Serving as the functional lead on diverse projects.
- Facilitating functional reusability in solution architecture.
- Establishing vital relationships with key global partners within the manufacturing software domain.
- Contributing to strategic discussions with team leadership and global partners to encourage the adoption of partner product offerings in North America.
- Maintaining in-depth knowledge of Information/MES/IIoT solution architectures prevalent in the manufacturing software sector.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to colleagues across the organization.
Qualifications for this Role Include:
- Over 10 years of experience in the manufacturing software sector, particularly with Information/MES/IIoT solutions.
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting and familiarity with industrial controls.
- Proven skills in requirements documentation, solution architecture, systems analysis, and design.
- Certification in Inductive Automation's Ignition Platform software; experience with Sepasoft and/or Cirrus Link Solutions integrated modules is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation PLC platforms, network design and implementation, OT/IT configurations, and production and engineering processes.
- Advanced proficiency with industrial software packages from vendors such as Rockwell, Siemens, Aveva/Wonderware, and GE.
- Experience in network architecture design, system virtualization, and relevant design tools.
- Familiarity with software and systems like MQTT, Azure DevOps, AWS, Node-Red, and Docker is a plus.
- Development experience in Python, Java, JavaScript, and/or Microsoft .NET.
- Experience with database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, and/or InfluxDB.
- Knowledge of application development methodologies, techniques, standards, configuration management, middleware, networking, and hardware configuration.
- Project management experience is beneficial.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to manipulate objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, talk, and hear.
- Specific vision abilities required for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
