Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Regular full-time Team Lead Plasma Nurse to become an integral part of our Plasma Operations division.
The Plasma Operations division plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe collection of plasma, which is essential for producing life-saving products. In this capacity, you will engage in various projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the program's effectiveness while serving as an ambassador for our mission. You will also provide guidance and support to staff engaged in operational tasks, fostering a collaborative and customer-focused work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations at the plasma collection site, ensuring that all processes are executed effectively, efficiently, and safely. Cultivate a positive workplace atmosphere where staff feel empowered and engaged. Collaborate with management to maintain optimal site operations, ensuring a well-maintained environment and compliance with all relevant standards. Assess and identify training and development needs for team members. Design and implement training programs tailored to meet identified learning objectives. Direct staff to the appropriate resources regarding donor selection criteria. Serve as a subject matter expert on policies and procedures related to screening processes. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the site.Qualifications and Skills:
Must be a licensed registered nurse, eligible to practice in the relevant province. At least three years of progressive experience in a public-facing role, particularly in a customer-centric environment. A minimum of three years in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred. Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices is advantageous. Demonstrated leadership capabilities are essential. Strong commitment to achieving results and enhancing customer experiences. Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus. Ability to adapt to change and manage multiple priorities effectively. Proven experience in continuous improvement methodologies. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a highly regulated setting. Capacity to work under pressure while meeting job demands. Ability to exercise discretion, tact, and confidentiality is mandatory. Promote a positive public image for the organization. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Benefits:
