Job Summary

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Psychiatrist to join our team. As a key member of our psychiatric services, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our mental health programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities.
  • Collaborate with emergency department staff, primary care providers, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
  • Participate in case management meetings and contribute to quality assurance projects.
  • Liaise with community institutions and services to ensure seamless patient care.
