Position Overview

As a Metal Fabrication Specialist at JW Auto Repairs, you will play a crucial role in our operations by utilizing your welding expertise to ensure high-quality metalwork.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years of relevant experience in welding is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and apply welding process specifications accurately.
  • Operate various welding equipment, including manual, semi-automatic, and fully automated systems.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to execute tasks effectively.
  • Examine welds to ensure compliance with established standards and specifications.
  • Utilize manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment as needed.
  • Employ computer-aided design (CAD) tools for precise metal fabrication.
  • Operate metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines, including brakes and shears.
  • Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal components as required.
  • Utilize oxygen arc cutting equipment to achieve desired results.
  • Assess the weldability of various materials to determine suitability for projects.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to manage heavy materials safely.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using previously set-up welding machines.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Start, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines to ensure efficiency.
