Job Title: Framer-Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Framer-Carpenter to join our team at Galaxy Homes. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for framing, installing, and finishing wood structures, ensuring high-quality results and meeting project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Estimate costs and materials, and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the trade
  • Ability to work at heights, in dusty environments, and with tight deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and efficient interpersonal skills
