Job Summary

The Personal Support Worker provides personalized care and support to clients in their homes, promoting independence and well-being within the framework of VON policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate client needs to develop and implement personalized care plans.
  • Provide personal care and homemaking services, including light cleaning, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure quality care and compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CCA Certification or equivalent.
  • Personal Support Worker program or equivalent.
  • Standard First Aid Certificate or CPR level C Certificate.
  • Experience working with elderly or ill individuals or children.
Work Environment

VON Canada is committed to providing a safe and supportive work environment. The Personal Support Worker will work in clients' homes, with occasional travel to VON offices or other locations as required.
