- Develop and implement strategies to meet work schedules efficiently.
- Order food and kitchen supplies as needed.
- Oversee and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff involved in food preparation and portioning.
- Train new staff on job responsibilities, sanitation, and safety protocols.
- Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
- Recruit food service personnel.
- Ensure food quality and service standards are consistently met.
- Prepare budget forecasts and cost estimates for kitchen operations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste.
- Compile food order summaries for the head chef.
- Supervise the assembly of food trays and the delivery of food trolleys.
- Establish and manage work schedules for kitchen staff.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, requiring standing for extended periods and walking.
- Personal Suitability: Strong client focus, excellent interpersonal skills, effective oral communication, adaptability, teamwork, and initiative.
