The Senior SAP Functional Consultant - Distribution and Transportation plays a key role in designing and deploying SAP S4 Logistics solutions. This involves collaborating with project and operational teams to align business needs with module and solution functions. The successful candidate will be actively involved in project phases and technological solution support, working closely with business counterparts to design and create SAP solutions that enable and improve business processes.

The ERP and Business Applications department at Arc'teryx is a team of technical professionals and subject matter experts who understand the tools that support the business. We strategically define business cases, prioritize projects, and deliver ERP and Commercial projects, ensuring that dependencies are mapped out and sequenced to deliver the overall technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Follow documentation, best-practice, and change management standards within Arc'teryx.
  2. Coordinate and execute Change Requests from Process design through Functional Specifications and Implementation, including coordination of resource partners for end-to-end process coverage.
  3. Maintain ongoing collaboration with business stakeholders and peers to gather and interpret user/system requirements, pain points, and process issues.
  4. Develop and maintain prioritization of change requests.
  5. Lead stakeholders in detailed business process blueprint activities to create blueprints and use cases/user stories.
  6. Prepare detailed functional specifications for development activities, including workflows, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
  7. Execute unit testing, functional testing, and system integration testing to Arc'teryx standards.
  8. Ensure 2nd/3rd level support and liaise with key users to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  9. Participate in the development and review of training materials and take part in training delivery where required for new releases of SAP or in cases of changes and enhancements in SAP functionality.
  10. Maintain updated knowledge on SAP best-practices, roadmap, and technologies to provide informed architectural and design decisions.

  3. Contribute to the overall development of the SAP Distribution & Transportation roadmap.
  4. Solve complex problems with peers in SAP to meet continuing developing business needs.
  5. Look for ways to automate and reduce non-value-added tasks.
  6. Partner with our Sourcing, Omnichannel, and Finance teams on deliverables.
Requirements
  1. You have a relevant university degree or technical diploma and a minimum of 8 years of related experience in SAP System development and sustainment.
  2. You have 6+ years of recent experience with distribution and transportation business processes, ideally in the world of retail, wholesale, fashion, footwear, or similar.
  3. You have 6+ years of functional experience in SAP SD and EWM.
  4. You have a background in implementing SAP S4 and/or SAP FMS, SAP AFS.
  5. You have knowledge of SAP integration with automated warehouse solutions and 3PLs.
  6. You may have experience with SAP GTS or ShipERP as an additional asset.
  7. You are an excellent collaborator while also able to work effectively with a team.
  8. You are adaptable and forward-thinking.
  9. You are able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  10. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  11. You are able to travel internationally as required.
  12. You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.
  13. You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity.
  14. You are able to balance autonomy and collaboration.
  15. You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$122,000 - CAD$152,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
