About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at EllisDon Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Projects and Tasks: Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention.
  • Training and Development: Train staff on health and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Workplace Inspections: Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Health and Safety Planning: Develop and implement health and safety plans to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure health and safety regulations are followed and maintained.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Oversee the preparation of reports and evaluate work environments, programs, and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 5 years or more of experience in environmental health and safety.
  • Work Setting: Construction.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, attention to detail, combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, team player, accountability.
