Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Developer within the AMER team, you will play a pivotal role in the development of a cutting-edge Communication Surveillance Platform that spans across various products. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Collaborating with global teams, particularly in EMEA, to effectively plan and prioritize platform enhancements.
  • Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to:
    • Thoroughly comprehend business requirements.

  • Engaging in an agile software development lifecycle, which encompasses technical analysis, documentation, coding, testing, and code reviews.
  • Working alongside the production support team to ensure smooth releases and maintenance of software components.

  • Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members.
  • Offering insights and feedback based on your expertise regarding architecture, design, technology choices, and the overall direction of the platform.

Essential Skills:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • A proven track record in mentoring developers within a full-stack Java environment, ideally in the communication surveillance sector.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in communication surveillance concepts, particularly within the financial industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and VueJS (or similar technologies), with experience in distributed computing environments.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives in an agile setting, collaborating closely with Data Scientists.
  • Expertise in Front End GUI development.
  • Advanced skills in Python and JSON.
  • Strong UNIX capabilities.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices, including tools such as Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
  • Experience with JAVA, J2EE, JavaScript, and Perl.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all project lifecycle stages, from requirements gathering to post-implementation.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a global team.
  • Strong time management skills, capable of handling conflicting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • A self-starter attitude with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, suitable for a front-office context.

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with the following qualifications will be favored:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with Front Office traders, IT support, and Operations teams in a Capital Markets environment.
  • Knowledge of code optimization, parallelization, and deployment, along with experience managing large datasets.
  • Familiarity with integrating various data sources, including audio and electronic communications.
