2D Animation Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled 2D Animator to join our team at Sphere. As a 2D Animator, you will be responsible for bringing our animated scenes to life, collaborating with our Animation Supervisor, Lead Animator, and Director to ensure high-quality work that meets technical and artistic requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review scene planning and episodic animatics to ensure scene direction is understood before animating
- Participate in episodic launches to discuss scene goals and their role in the story
- Animate scenes while applying animation principles: staging, timing, acting, posing
- Rectify, adjust, and re-animate scenes according to client and production requests
- Manage and produce quality animated frames in Harmony within established schedules
- Collaborate with the Animation Supervisor to resolve complex ideas
- Create walk and run cycles as needed
- Follow the soundtrack and provide appropriate lip assignment
- Apply camera movements
- Maximize reuse in animation and drawings
- Make all requested corrections
- Coordinate with the Animation Supervisor to complete assigned tasks
Requirements:
- Degree in animation, art, multimedia, or equivalent experience
- Working experience on a 2D animated series
- Good knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony and technical basis in 2D animation
- Collaborative and communication skills: encourage teamwork by sharing knowledge and leadership abilities
- Creativity and attention to detail
- Strong time-management skills
