This is an exciting opportunity to join the General Surgery team at the Royal Alexandra Hospital as a Physician Assistant. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will provide general medical care to patients with a wide variety of medical conditions within the Hospital Medicine portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive direct patient care, within your skill matrix, as a central member of the team.
- Perform comprehensive assessment, make differential diagnoses, order appropriate testing, and plan the clinical management of patients.
- Provide leadership and actively participate in program development and evaluation.
- Participate in inter-disciplinary collaboration in the provision of patient care.
- Graduation from a recognized Physician Assistant Education Program.
- Certified Physician Assistant with one of the following credentials: Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA), granted by the Physician Assistants Certification Council of the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants, or Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C), granted by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in the United States of America.
- Registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA).
This position offers the opportunity to work to full scope of practice and participate in inter-disciplinary collaboration in the provision of patient care. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development and evaluation of programs.
