About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, and assessing accounting and internal control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and direct all accounting operational functions, including accounts payable, billings, and collections.
  • Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts, and monitor them on a monthly basis.
  • Analyze, apply, and improve policies, procedures, controls, and methodologies.
  • Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations, and G/L analysis.
  • Lead the operations of the finance department, including payroll and cash management.
  • Work closely with the executive team to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation.
  • Research, prepare, and execute finance department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation.
Requirements
  • CPA certification required.
  • Progressive accounting experience, including as a Manager Financial Reporting or Controller.
  • Strong hands-on monthly financial reporting experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding technology, analytics, and management experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet business deadlines.
  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds.
  • Exemplary analytical, quantitative, and social skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment.
