We are committed to hiring a mobile CTS educator who aligns with our core values and mission. This role is essential in providing inclusive access to all students, enhancing their growth and well-being, and ensuring every learner's success. CTS educators play a crucial role in shaping the skills and confidence of our students, equipping them with practical abilities that extend beyond their school years. A Bachelor of Education and a Journeyperson certificate are required, along with a valid teaching certification.

The mobile CTS unit will be relocated by our maintenance team to various sites, allowing the educator to provide consistent instruction to students.

About the Program: The CTS program aims to cultivate skills that senior high school students can utilize in their everyday lives as they prepare for employment or further educational pursuits. Through this program, students can tailor their learning experiences, explore their interests, navigate transitions from high school to the workforce or post-secondary education, and develop the necessary attitudes and behaviors to thrive in today's evolving job market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess individual and group learning needs of students.
  • Design and implement instruction tailored to diverse learning requirements.
  • Create an engaging learning atmosphere that fosters student growth.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of essential knowledge and skills.
  • Communicate with parents regarding student progress.
  • Evaluate and report on student achievements.
  • Develop and execute remedial programs for students needing additional support.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to address student needs.
  • Participate in extracurricular and after-school activities.
  • Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education and valid teaching certification.
  • Journeyperson certificate in a relevant trade.
  • Successful candidates must provide:
  • Current Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
  • Original documentation issued within the last six months prior to employment.
